Throughout the years since my husband and I left the Amish religion and lifestyle, we have made it a point to tell our children the different aspects of our story. As with many such things, it is sometimes difficult to put all the details together to create a comprehensive picture.

My book The Greater Inheritance shares my personal testimony of leaving the Amish. But many have often asked if we were the only ones who left. No, there were multiple families who left around the same time!

One of our relatives put together a fantastic documentary of the families who left the Amish in the early 1980s. He did a beautiful job intertwining the different accounts and experiences!

The testimonies are completely true. The emotions are still raw and real. The effects of these decisions still continue today.
