Amish Peanut Butter Recipe

Amish Peanut Butter

One of my favorite treats growing up as an Amish girl was Amish peanut butter! There are several variations of Amish peanut butter, some mixed only with molasses, others with maple syrup and butter, but my favorite as a child was the Amish peanut butter mixed with marshmallow fluff! Spread this on a slice of fresh homemade bread and you have an unbeatable treat!

Amish peanut butter was commonly served at after-church lunches, and it frequently showed up at wedding and funeral lunches as well. As children, we were always excited when we knew church was to be held at someone’s home who made Amish peanut butter with marshmallow fluff. My siblings and I would gladly skip the various assortment of jams and jellies if we could have some sweet Amish peanut butter!

As my own children grew, I would occasionally make Amish peanut butter for them, and as I suspected, it quickly became a favorite treat for them as well. Now, they make it for their children!

You can make this Amish peanut butter even more of a treat by serving it on a slice of fresh Amish White Bread!

I’m always excited to hear when someone enjoys my recipes. Let me know in the comments below how you liked this recipe!
